August declutter challenge - day 27

Before I get to today's challenge, I want to discuss something with you.

Do you think it would be a good idea to continue doing the decluttering thing on a weekly basis? Say a weekly roundup where you post what you decluttered on a Friday (like Menu Plan Monday)? I think this will help to keep the momentum going but I'm keen to hear what YOU think. Yes, you!

Tell me yes or no, and what can I call it? I'm not the most creative with names and such so I need help!

Okay, now that business is out of the way, here's today's declutter!

This was one of the books I got at this HUGE BOOK SALE over a year ago, also only read recently.

It's about a woman who battles depression and who tries to commit suicide.

I think I'm done with books now, but I may be wrong ;)

What did you declutter today?

I am having a lot of help from my puppy, Candy. She is into chewing lately- so I am getting rid of my basket collection and anything else that is on the floor.
Also, she had an accident on the pullout sofa in my home office- guess it was time for that to go, too.
With any more of her "help" I am going to have a very open, airy living space with little furniture and nothing on the floor.

A weekly challenege would be great!I didn't find this until a week ago so I had 20 days to catch up on. 2 bags of close and 2 bags of stuff later, I am caught up! How about "Friday's Find's" or or "Weekly Weeding" or "weed it Wednesday"

I am decluttering with you without posting. I love to declutter and feel the freedom from it. So I say "Yes" and maybe call it, Freedom Friday???? Freeing Friday??? Also, how are you getting rid of your clutter? Do you take it staight away to the donation place or put it in a box and make one big trip? My problem is I stack it at the back door, then box it, then to the garage, and then when it overwhelms me to the donation store....

Thanks

I'd love to continue on a weekly basis! Very motivating, and I love to see what others are freeing themselves of!

I am in for a weekly declutter. I agree that it will help us keep up the momentum and it also helps to encourage one another! :)

Thanks for the name suggestions - now you've got me thinking.

Tracey, it depends what type of clutter it is. Paper gets collected every week.

I put things in a box in my laundry area and when my cleaning lady comes, she gets first dibs at the box. Anything she doesn't want I put outside with the rubbish. The guys who collect the rubbish either take it for themselves or they throw it away.

Hmmm...I have been wanting to tackle the clutter in the basement. Your blog may have given me the kick in the butt that I needed!

I'm in! I was going to ask at the end of the challenge if anyone wanted to continue but you beat me to it. Were you thinking of still aiming for one item a day or whatever we can manage during a week? Maybe we could take turns hosting or setting challenges for each other (though I don't know what they could be)?

LOL! I am glad you are happy about the recipe, it's one of my favorites!

I give a big YES to that question of whether or not to continue on a weekly basis!

I'm drawing a blank on the name. I will think on that.

Toss it Tuesday or Thursday

A weekly challenge would be great. Throw-it-out Thursday. I like the one above, Toss-it Tuesday. Mondays would actually be a good day (for me) to post so we could get caught up on organizing over the weekend.
