August declutter challenge - day 7

Have you been enjoying the stories behind my handbags?

I must say, I've been enjoying the process of giving them a voice before releasing them...sounds very woo-woo, doesn't it?

But it's working because I don't feel like I have to hang onto them for the memories anymore!

Is it working for you too?

Right, back to today...

In Johannesburg, it gets really, really hot in summer. I can't stand sandals with the strips of material over the feet and I practically live in these kinds of sandals (as you can see).

These ones have been with me to Thailand and Malaysia, and I have a picture of us on an elephant in a Thai jungle, with my feet in these :)

What did you declutter today?

Marcia, I just want to say thank you again. I know that this may seem like a very simple task to many of you. But this challenge really has made a difference to me. And the really neat thing is the "cyberfriendships" that is has encouraged! I started out as a crafty blog and it evolved into more. When I accepted this declutter challenge, I posted pics and my progress on the board (and we are barely a week into the challenge!) and immediately I realized that many of my crafting friends from the message boards that I have gotten to know them were encouraged by what I had to say and by your challenge and decided to join us. It is so fun to be encouraging one another and to see the progress that each of us are making, no matter if it is small or monumental!

This really is a great idea and if there are still procrastinators out there, I hope they will join us. We are hear for each other! Thanks again for coming into my cyber life, Marcia and affecting me where I live!

Marcia, you are an inspiration to me. I love the way you've set your mind to this and how you're getting on and tackling this.

Already this challenge has been worth it for me just to see all you're doing, so well done!

I am enjoying the stories.

I must try telling the story behind the MANY things I have. Maybe I'll be able to let go of them too.

I haven't decluttered yet today. But I will before bedtime.
