Hi guys
I've just been going through the participants' blogs through my google reader and I found a picture that personifies, at least for me, what decluttering and organising does.
Doesn't this picture give you a feeling of peace? Look at the sunlight coming through the window.
All together now, let's breathe deeply. In...out... aah :)
I want each of you to have that same feeling of peace - there is nothing like it.
Right, back to business...
This week, my partner-in-decluttering, Beth, is hosting the Mr Linky over at her place.
BUT WAIT!!!!
Before you leave, tell me the biggest thing you learnt this week while decluttering and organising your spaces.

The biggest thing I learned this week while decluttering and organizing my space was....drumroll please...that I HAVE A LOT OF CRAP!!!
Yes, that's true, but seriously now, what I learned is that a lot of times I can clear up clutter in a mere 5 minutes because all I did was finish a project that I started. Unfinished projects take up SO much room!!
Marcia I was reading your post and went to the link you posted about peaceful and was so touched it is one of mine.
I learned I love that peaceful feeling . I just soak it in !!!!!!!!!
I also learned that although some weeks will be busier than others you can always find a little time to declutter .
Thank you
once again

LOL - you are so right. Unfinished projects take up mental and physical space!
Diane
I LOVED that picture so I just had to link to you
Love your learnings too!
The biggest thing I learned this week is that I have to be vigilant about newly decluttered spaces, and take care to keep things in order.
I learned that you have to "just do it" as the Nike commercial says. Here's my link:

Knowing that I have a lot of stuff I should get rid of, doesn't help me getting rid of it. Once the challenge is over I think I need to do one spot at a time instead of looking for a variety of (single) things to show and that might not produce pictures of items.
I've learned that keeping things "just in case" is not really going to help me in the long run. The things we've kept just in case haven't been touched in years and I think it would be years more before we need an emergency supply of bathroom cleaners.

O.K. I learned that it's fun, fast and easy. Really, I knew that!!

Oh, sorry, that last comment was not from Than, it was I, the O.M. I just hit the button too fast. He was logged in. LOL
I had a good idea for how to better organize my teaching materials at the language school. I dejunked a LOT of paper and I think that helped me see the project more clearly. And that has inspired me to keep going on my bigger desk-decluttering project here at home.
