We did.
I lit candles all around the house and we had supper and some lovely conversation by candlelight.

The idea is to switch off your lights for just one hour (and we can all do one hour, right?) at 8:30 pm, local time, no matter where in the world you are

i don't know if it is true, but it is easy enough to avoid: apparently, when everyone switches off at the same time, there could be a power surge, that could adversely affect your appliances. so unplug computers and such, or switch off your mains.
I would love to participate, but I am afraid I would forget unless I leave a sticky note for myself and I have so many of these now, I would probably overlook it.
