Menu Plan Monday - 27 Aug '07 & organising your weight loss


My gym is closed for renovations so I have a choice between all the other Virgin Active clubs. This is throwing out the schedule a bit this week because the one I prefer is not near my home so I'll go straight from work and then come home. Hmmm.
Also, last week I mentioned that I'm focussing on baby steps with this weight loss thing and in emails offline, Bridget (And miles to go) and I agreed that we would drink 2 L of water every day. That's our first baby step. When I checked on Bridget mid-week, she was doing well and so was I. I drank my 2L the whole week - woohoo ;) B, how did the rest of your week go? Guess what? I'm 1 kg lighter than I was last week - hopefully this lasts!
This week we're continuing with the water and adding no eating after supper!

Shalee's macaroni & cheese
Wednesday
Sausage & potato bake
Thursday
Chicken burgers, salad and 95% fat-free chips ;)
Friday
Pasta & kidney bean sauce

My family would love the sausage and potato bake..sounds yummy!! I've never thought of chicken burgers...is the chicken ground up just like hamburger would be??

2 L of water is a lot. I hate water. I mean I'm thankful for the blessing of water and know it is good for me but it literally makes me gag. You are right though I need to drink more. Matt drinks gallons a day and tells me I don't drink enough. So I will really attempt the water thing (it's 8 cups right) and the no eating after dinner is a cinch for me.
So, I'm in :o).

I'll join you in the water. NOt sure if I can do the dinner thing. Sometimes we eat as early as 5! I'll commit, though, that if I eat after dinner, it'll only veggies or fruit. (I hope!)

I need to get on the bandwagon with the water thing. I've let it go the past couple of weeks, and traded it in for coffee. Not good! I start varsity b'ball on Mon, Tues, and Thurs nights this week, so I need my water! And no eating after those practices, 'cause I get home around 9 pm. Too late to be eating.

woo hoo Marcia!! You lost weight. The scale is not my friend so I don't weigh each day or even once a week. I did drink the water each day and it is very easy since we have bottled water on tap here and I am hoping that I am weighing less--I feel better!! Your meal plan also sounds delicious.

Keep up the great work!! I bet you look fabulous and have rosy healthy cheeks :)

Teepee-ing is where you throw rolls of toilet tissue all up in the trees around a persons house. Usually it's done to a person who has a game (like football) the night before or after the game. Sometimes it includes putting plastic forks or spoons in the ground and throwing eggs ... most of the time it is just the toilet tissue as was the case here.

I was used to having long hair and it feels big and I don't look like me when I see my reflection.
