Menu Plan Monday - 2 July 2007 & organising your menu plan visits

Biscuits and cookies
One of the things I LOVE about blogging is learning about different parts of the world.

I asked Anne and Sandra last week about “biscuits”, and while I still don’t get what they are, I think I’ll have to try and make some to get the proper idea.

We call cookies “biscuits”, you see. And biscuits? Well, I don't know. So it gets very confusing – please forgive all the questions on your blogs!
Organising your MPM visits
While I was blog surfing last week, someone asked "how do you get around to all the MPM blogs?"
1. The short answer is I don't. I am forced to be really disciplined with blog reading and commenting because otherwise nothing else in and on my business would get done. By the way, I'm two!

2. I usually surf the MPM blogs for about 20 - 30 minutes. Now I only follow the links to the blogs which are not in my google reader.
Because I'm going to read the others anyway.

3. My goal is 10 blogs every Monday. I try and pick a couple of new-to-me blogs so that I get out and socialise (don't we all like to sometimes stay in our comfort zone?!). Sometimes I get sidetracked so I don't get around to all 10 in one sitting. But then I just come back later when I have a few minutes.

4. If I find a good recipe, I have a document called "blog recipes to try" and I paste the recipe in there. When I try it, I print and put in my recipe file (if a keeper) or just delete if we didn't like.

We didn't like the pizza pancakes but we loved Sandra's pizza.
Anyway, hope you liked hearing my ways of organising MPM.

Monday
Stirfried kidney beans, veggies and noodles (vegetarian because I was not prepared to face the end-of-the-month traffic at HyperMeat)

Tuesday
Oven-baked pork chops, carrots and potato bake

Wednesday
Chicken curry and rice

Thursday
Pasta with chickpea & vegetable sauce, topped with cheese

Friday
Homemade soup and cheese rolls

Happy Monday Marcia!
We have woken up to no water, which is interesting given the fact that it is flooding here. I am praying it is something minor as we have our own well...
Anyway,
Your menu looks delicious!

Oh my word - that is terrible, Annie. You know we had that a few weeks back and it gets terrible really quickly :)

Yummy menu! Too funny, I too only limit my MPM visits for 20 mins or so. I hit my usual blogs visits first, then a few new ones. If I didn't have a daycare to run, I would be on the puter all day long! Shhhh don't tell my hubby!

Have a great Monday!
♥ Jodi

I guess you'll just have to come visit and try our biscuits, Marcia! :) I do the same thing, try to visit at least ten other blogs and leave comments. I love the friendliness and comments that MPM generates. Have an awesome week!! :) :)

It's funny - I couldn't imagine a world without southern biscuits! We eat them so many ways! I thought I'd send you a couple links to recipes you can check out. http://www.foodnetwork.com/food/recipes/recipe/0,,FOOD_9936_14506,00.html?rsrc=search

I finally got over feeling like I had to visit all the blogs on days like today. I can't get anything else done when I spend so much time doing that. Especially since my computer is running very slow these days!

Your menu looks great!
Have a fantabulous week!

He,he! I love to hear all the differences in our words! :) I cannot make good biscuits to save my life, but my mom makes the best you'll ever taste! You rememeber that when you eat your next biscuit! :)
