So tell me, why aren't you organised?

I have some ideas about why some people who really, really, really want to get organised but just don't do it.

These are some of the reasons I get from people:
  • procrastination
  • not believing that they deserve to live in an orderly home
  • no time
  • no money for organising tools
  • just don't know how
  • they can't because their husband/ kids/ cat/ dog messes up after they organise a space :)
I'm telling you today that you CAN get organised.

All of those reasons above are simply excuses and limiting beliefs.

So what are the things you tell yourself?

I'm hoping that by challenging you to be courageous and fearless, you'll shine some light on what's really holding you back and take some action.

And if you're not sure where to start or how to do it, the Organise your Home ecourse is a step-by-step system delivered in bite-sized pieces so you will NEVER feel overwhelmed. You even get an audio of me teaching you how to organise your space.

Oh, I'd give anything to spend a day as a normal person so I could get something done around the apartment! I have ADD and I'm EXTREMELY distractable. Organizing papers is a lost cause.

Even with a vibrating watch, I still don't seem to complete anything I start!

I have several times, made a good attempt at getting organized. Truthfully, I need more room - or someplace to sort through and a system to get the stuff out of the house quickly. My husband and oldest daughter are both messy - they pull out and don't put back - so I always see stuff falling apart faster than I can clean it up.

Right now we are in a poorly planned little trailer house with too many bugs. I spend more time redoing spaces that have to be done because of the bugs, and never quite seem to get to the rest. I homeschool and teach several preschool programs (AWANA, Jr. Church, etc.) so I have craft stuff for that as well as what I use to make presents. We are also quite a ways below what is considered the poverty level, so I tend to hold onto things for projects that are hard to find.

My livingroom also hosts the school room, library, my son's bedroom, and my office ... in a space smaller than most bedrooms. 13x20 I think. Maybe smaller - and dumps right into the kitchen/diningroom, as well as where I keep extra school supplies.

I use to keep up with it all - but after 3 moves, stuff in storage for nearly 5 years, adding a child, and the bugs ... I just can't seem to catch back up with myself. I make progress only to be set back ... the latest was the loss of electricity to over half of the trailer - so I now have heavy duty electric cords running throughout the space, as well as misplaced office supplies from the fruit basket upset when we attempted to move my office for the second time in just a few months. My dad had planned to get to it ... but my mom got sick and died, and now that he might have time - my sister's main car died and he needs to fix that. Dh was going to work in a distant city and take his office with him ... but didn't pass the security check (on a technicallity), so little son will not get his own room after all. Whew - sounds like a soap opra doesn't it.

On the plus side, the garden is looking pretty good - but what will I do with all the peppers I planted for my mom? LOL

Maybe things will improve after the baby gets here and I get off reduced workload (due to a history of miscarriages).
