Menu plan Monday - 19 Feb 2007

For more Menu Plan Monday participants, go on over to Laura's blog.

I’m very proud of myself as last week we ate everything on the menu plan. We mixed up the days and it was pasta alfredo instead of carbonara, but this is still excellent for us.

I'm hoping that this week will go just as well!

Monday
Rice, chicken lentil curry and pumpkin

Tuesday
Penne pasta with bacon/ mushroom/cheese sauce and a green salad

Wednesday
Baked potatoes with mince & kidney bean sauce (chilli, tomato, onion, etc)

Thursday
Early supper with Nikki at House of Coffees – I’ll probably have something with a side salad

Friday
Stirfried rice, chicken, kidney beans and veggies

If you would like my recipe for anything, please just ask. I'm happy to oblige!

Have a great week, everyone, and remember to come back tomorrow for The Tackle!

Hello! Oh yes your bacon/mushroom/cheese sauce recipe would be wonderful! Your email didn't come through on your last comment to me, just thought I'd get back to you on that.
Have a great week!

I've noticed you list pumpkin in your menus before. How do you fix it?
Looks like a tasty week!
Hope your Monday is full of blessings!

Yum, sounds wonderful. We're having loaded potatoes this week as well.

Stirred Fried Rice sounds yummy. I would like to try that with brown rice.
Have a great week. I hope that you are having some better weather then we are. It's raining cats and dogs in Southern CA.

Laura, I'll go check my profile settings again, okay?

Terri, I tried to comment on your blog yesterday. It took AGES to download so I gave up. BUT...I appreciate you stopping by so much.

Annie, I love pumpkin. First off, I buy diced pumpkin blocks. In stirfry, I usually chop the blocks into slivers (they look like slices of cheese :)) and I stirfry them just like that. If I'm having them as a side veg with curry, for instance, I put about 5 drops of water in a little bowl, zap them in the microwave for about 5 minutes, sprinkle with cinnamon and that's it!

Rona, brown rice is definitely healthier. I'm going through a phase at the moment where I'm addicted to basmati, so I cook with that 95% of the time.
