Juicy goals!

How to set and achieve BIG, juicy goals that bring BIG, juicy results - teleclass/ webcast

Thursday 23 October 2008

Did you know that there are less than 100 days before the end of the year?

Last year, a friend and I participated in an online goals challenge at exactly this time of year. We set some goals and my "big thing" that resulted from the challenge was 7 easy steps to organise your office, which is now a bestselling product in my store.

That would never have happened had I not given it one last push before the end of the year.

You, too, can do your "big thing" before this year ends.

Do you want to plan your next overseas holiday, launch a new workshop or product, write an ebook, or get that ONE big thing sorted once and for all in your life?

I've already mapped out my one big thing for 2008 which I'll share with you on the goals teleclass, because my goal is to have it up and running by the end of November.

On this 75-minute teleclass, you’ll learn:

  • how to set big, juicy goals to bring you big, juicy results
  • how to break it down into monthly, weekly and daily planning so you don't get overwhelmed
  • the EXACT process I use from "vague concept" to "nitty gritty"
  • how to find the time to actually get your goals done
  • the ONE thing that will propel you forward more than anything else
  • how to (almost) magically attract the right help and resources to help you reach your goals
  • And much, much more

Your investment for this valuable teleclass is only $47

This is the exact same system that I've personally used since 1998 to consistently achieve my goals every year.

What would it be worth to you to get that project off your list? Wouldn't you like to feel the relief and excitement of having it DONE?!

Date: Thursday 23 October
Time: 12 - 1:15pm EST/ 6 - 7:15pm South Africa time/ 5 - 6:15pm UK time
Format: Simulcast - either telephone or webcast - it's your choice

(don't worry if you can't make it live, you'll get the recording an hour later)

You’ll receive:

1. The live teaching and coaching with Marcia

2. MP3 audio recording of the call

3. 14-page handout with the EXACT same goals forms I use in my business

4. Free copy of How to set and achieve your goals (value $37)

You CAN finish this year strong!

Love and organising success
Marcia
Time Management & Business Organising Coach

P.S. You REALLY don't want to have that ONE thing on your list again next year :)

menu plan monday - 9 June 2008

Hi everybody

Did you have a good week last week?

My goal for June is to get rid of the extra 2kg I gained while on holiday in the UK and Ireland. I seem to have a built-in radar for baked goodies no matter where in the world I go and this trip, it was either Tesco's yum-yums (delicious!), scones with jam or THE most delicious doughnuts ever.

The friend we stayed with in Dublin, Craig, is a psychotherapist so we'd meet him at the hospital every day after work and before leaving, we'd pop into the canteen for tea and a chocolate-filled doughnut. My word - light, non-greasy with just a sprinkling of castor sugar - I'm salivating now just thinking of it! Absolutely delicious ;)

Anyway, so you can see how easy it was to gain weight.

Last week, I went back to gym after a whole month and it was great - I only go to dance classes and both were FANTASTIC! The best thing is the scale agrees because I've lost 0.5 kg.

This week, my goal is THREE dance classes :)
summer/ winter organising project
I'm going to be announcing a special project this week so keep reading. This is a bright idea that I had while in the shower :)

:(
I've phoned Sandra four times and have still not spoken to her. Three times the phone just rang and rang and the fourth time I left a message. So will try again this week - I can't bear the thought that she's so close and we can't seem to get hold of one another!

This week's menu
Monday
Baked potatoes with bolognaise sauce

Tuesday
Dion's night - last week we had takeaways which I'm not keen on but oh well...

Wednesday
Pizzas/ garlic rolls/ tomato soup

Thursday
Mashed potatoes, grilled fish in a tomato sauce

Friday
Pasta with spicy kidney bean sauce

What does your week look like?

Decluttering clothes

Tackle It Tuesday Meme

I've been planning to declutter some of my clothes for a few weeks now and finally just decided to DO IT!

It's at times like these that I realise I also need my Organise your Home home study system ;)

This is how I decided what had to go:
  1. I hadn't worn it for two years (!) either because I just didn't feel like it or it didn't fit me. Both those lilac suits in the pile don't fit me yet I hung onto them because when they did, they looked really gorgeous on me *sigh*

  2. I didn't LOVE it. There is a shirt in that pile that I have been keeping because

(a) my MIL bought it for me and I thought that was very kind of her and

(b) it is cool to wear in our blazing hot Jhb summers. BUT I must admit, I don't love it and it doesn't even look like me.

So I threw them out. That's only 6 items of clothing in there but the weight off my shoulders is huge, which brings me to another point:

Sometimes we make a bigger deal of things than they have to be. I'd been procrastinating all of this for 2 - 3 weeks and it took me 10 minutes to throw out :)

What have you tackled this week?

If you don't know how to reach your organising goals, join me on a free Skypecast this Thursday. Get all the details and your handout here.

Menu plan Monday (10 March 2008) and goal-setting

I cleared out my Google Reader on Friday night from 115 items to zero. I've been falling behind because of my 2008 blogging policy - no reading blogs on the weekend (unless I'm doing research) and only for 30 minutes a weekday - but moving ahead very nicely on my business goals.
E.g. Once of my goals for the year was to add 20 articles to my ezine articles stash. I'm a Platinum Expert Author and I just felt like I should have more out there. Well, already for the year I've written and submitted 10 articles. See?
What are your goals for the year?
If you're not sure how to make them a reality, then I'd like to invite you to a free Skypecast this Thursday at 8PM South African time/ 1PM Eastern Standard Time.
I've even prepared a handout for you with all the Skype how-to info and the information I'll be covering on the call. You can get it here.

Right, onto this week's menu:

Our church is doing a Daniel fast for 21 days. This is week 2. We're praying for the country, our church leaders and also for personal things :)

Dion and I are only doing it for 2 days a week, Tuesdays and Thursdays, and basically it means we go vegetarian for supper. I won't bore you with the rest of it :) :)

Monday
Apricot chicken, rice and pumpkin

Tuesday
Pasta salad with kidney beans

Wednesday
Rice with cottage pie sauce

Thursday
Baked potatoes and spicy lentil sauce

Friday
We're having friends over for supper. I'm trying something new - a sausage, pumpkin and pasta dish with cheese bread and salad....

Have a wonderful week, everyone!

P.S. Will I "see" you on the goals Skypecast? My handout has ALL the details and notes for you to follow along. Get it here.
P.P.S Do you need more time?

Menu plan 14 Jan 2008 & goals

The search for a cleaning lady continues but there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Bea's friend is bringing a lady on Wednesday and I CAN'T WAIT! I really hope she works out because I'm a bit fussy (!).

And in case you're interested, I have still not done one stitch of ironing! I am wearing absolutely everything in my wardrobe first :)

Our goals
Dion and I had a goals review session last night - such fun! And then we went through MOUNTAINS of research for when we go to the UK in May. Our goal is to have flights booked by the end of the month. We're actually travelling for 4 weeks this year.

Good thing we've been saving because I had a bit of a shock yesterday looking at UK prices. Remember we have to multiply everything by 14 to get the prices in South African Rand, which can stop your heart beating for a few seconds ;)

But how are you doing on your goals? If you haven't been successful in the past, then maybe you should have a look at how to set and achieve your goals. Go here to read more.

Monday
Healthy macaroni cheese - see below for recipe

Tuesday
Dion's night

Wednesday
Stirfried beef, veggies and rice

Thursday
Baked potatoes with kidney bean sauce

Friday
Hamburgers, chips and salad

Healthy macaroni cheese
300g macaroni
1 can (410g) tomato and onion mix (or 2 tomatoes and an onion, chopped up)
500 ml fat-free milk
100g cheese
salt and pepper to taste
1 pkt thick white onion soup

Cook macaroni as normal.
Pour soup powder into a saucepan, add milk and bring to the boil. If you stir with a whisk, it keeps your sauce lump-free :)
Preheat oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
In a greased casserole dish, layer macaroni, tomatoes & onions, salt & pepper, cheese, then again macaroni, tomatoes & onions, salt & pepper and cheese. Keep some cheese for the top!
Pour the sauce over the top and bake for 15 minutes.
Then add the cheese and bake for the last 5 minutes.
Enjoy - it is SOOOO yum!

Menu Plan Monday 31 Dec 07 & goal-setting

Hello everyone

This is the last day of 2007 and I am so excited about what lies ahead.

Organise your Home
I've just launched something to help ANYBODY get their home organised and keep it that way LOL :) Read about the Organise your Home course here and if you blog about it, you can win a $25 gift card to Stacks and Stacks!

In a few hours time, my mother returns to Port Elizabeth after her week with us and it'll just be the two of us again. And then I'm going to prepare my gorgeous new planner!

Goals
Dion and I usually have supper on New Year's Eve and then we set our joint goals for the year ahead. This year we did that on Christmas night so tonight we're going to a movie. There are a lot of FUN goals this year like travel, date nights, etc.

My business and personal goals are all set too - I don't mind telling you that while I have BIG goals, I'm going to be working less. I absolutely believe in working smarter and not harder :)

Blogging
I'm also going to be spending less time on blogging! Did you set any blogging goals? Do you want me to share my process later this week?

Menu Plan
Anyway, let's go onto this week's menu plan. I didn't do one last week and I must say I'm feeling more in control this week now that I have a plan up!

I checked my weight this morning and I'm the same as before I went on holiday/ Christmas eating so am feeling great!

Monday
Stirfried beef, veggies and rice

Tuesday
Dion's night

Wednesday (first day back to work)
Baked potatoes and spicy kidney bean sauce

Thursday
Chicken pasta

Friday
Hamburgers and chips

So how are all of you doing? Are you set for 2008? What are some of your goals?

By the way, have you downloaded your Organise your Life e-book yet? It's free!

Menu plan Monday - 22 October 2007

Wow, I remember registering for the 100-day goals challenge just the other day and already a month has passed.

Progress

  1. Am about 2 hours into my new e-book
  2. 1 new organising client
  3. research is done for new stuff for next year (sorry to be vague but you're going to have to be on my mailing list to qualify ;))
  4. 0.5kg down
  5. 1 talk down, another 2 booked, 2 to go (anybody interested?)
So things are moving - as always, if I can help YOU (yes, YOU) get moving on your own goals, please email me. We can do sessions by Skype (proper talking) or online chat, again on Skype or in my chat room if you don't have it downloaded. A half-hour goals session may be just what you need to propel you forward.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Kin, we finished off the apricot chicken on Thursday and it was delicious. We both decided we like it better served with mashed potato. Had to take a picture for you :)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

This week's menu

Monday
Stir-fried chicken, rice and veggies

Tuesday
Dion's night - Marcia working on weekly mailing

Friday
Wholewheat spinach pizza with veggies (made another one today which I am freezing for Friday)

Menu plan Monday - 8 Oct 2007 & goals update

Blogging
You know what? I'm most productive when I actually stick to my plan for the day - duh!

Well, I've been relapsing into a lot of blog reading when I'm meant to be actually blogging and working ON my business, not just IN my business. So I'm apologising for being scarce around your blogs but I've had to buckle down and do some work.

Goals
I mentioned last week (and for those of you who receive my weekly tips via email, in those emails too) that I signed up for the Goals Guy's 100-day Finish Strong Challenge and I am determined to reach ALL my goals this year (including the *cough* weight loss *cough* one).

As is usual with goal-setting (because I've been doing this for the last hundred or so years), you do really well with some and not so well with others. I've exceeded my expectations on a lot of them but I haven't spoken to as many groups as I intended.

Speaking
If you're in Johannesburg, please email me so I can come talk to your group. I would love to talk on How to manage your time and take back your life but if that topic doesn't suit you, I have many other topics to choose from.

I will also be in Cape Town from 1 - 4 November (can't wait!!!) so grab me quickly for that time too, and I will probably be in Port Elizabeth for a week around/ near Christmas. A very resourceful reader already emailed me to do a one-on-one session for her, but with the back and forth email negotiations, we're thinking of putting together a workshop :)

Before I get to the menu, have you read about the Sunshine Organiser?

And here's this week's menu!

Monday
D – working late
M – out with a friend

Tuesday
Chicken steaklets (stuffed with spinach & feta) with brown rice & sundried tomatoes

Wednesday
Spaghetti with spicy lentil bolognaise sauce

Thursday
Kin's Apricot Chicken, rice and broccoli

Friday
Sweet & sour chicken with noodles

Menu plan Monday - 1 Oct 2007 & 2007 goals

Woohoo - only 3 months left to January and I'm on a mission to finish the year with a bang! I've signed up for the 100-day Goals Guy challenge to get closer to some of my goals. Do you need help? Email me.

Now, I have a confession - I took this planner back to Exclusive Books and got a new (more stunning) one. I have actually had to put it FAR away because I keep touching it. I'm such a tangible person and I love gorgeous textures and let's face it, after a 90-minute session at the dentist, can you blame me???

Anyway, here goes this week.

It's been nice and cold for the last week which I am LOVING so it's a pleasure to be in the kitchen whipping up some meals again. I finally figured out that I bake and cook more in winter because the kitchen is cool. In summer it's not pleasant to be in that kitchen (in our old house we had a lovely cool kitchen no matter what the season so my cooking didn't depend on the weather :) )

Monday
Kin's Apricot Chicken, rice and broccoli

Tuesday
Stirfried chicken in satay sauce (about two tablespoons peanut butter and I use water and milk to thin, not oil), noodles and vegetables - yum

Wednesday
Spicy sausage and potato

Thursday
Spaghetti bolognaise and salad

Friday
Pizza with loads of vegetables and fat-free chips

And if you still haven't answered the feed reader question, please do so... Tomorrow I'm posting on my solution and you can share yours too!
